PEDALSAFE SPONSORS THE SEVERN BRIDGE SPORTIVE

 

The Castle Combe Cycling Festival is pleased to announce that PEDALSAFE, a new insurance product put together by cyclists for cyclists, will be sponsoring the 2012 Severn Bridge Sportive on Sunday 26th August 2012.

 

PEDALSAFE is the brainchild of Alan Steward who came up with the idea after a close friend received serious injuries having been in collision with a car whilst out cycling and had no direct cycling insurance to cover his injuries. Alan identified that the existing policies on the market were expensive and didnt necessarily meet all the requirements of todays cyclists PEDALSAFE was born.

 

PEDALSAFE is a new insurance product covering all aspects of cycling from commuters to competitive to leisure and is backed by some of Britains largest insurers including Aviva, Brit and Jubilee. It has been designed by experienced cyclists who, in conjunction with Miles Smith (a large Lloyds insurance broking group) truly understand what you really need when its only two wheels and you on the busy roads of Britain and Europe.

 

For just 39.99 per year PEDALSAFE insurance includes

 Physio getting you back in the saddle if you are injured and have to take time off work or you are involved in a road traffic accident whilst cycling.

Personal ID if you are found unconscious, or worse, the emergency services are able to access details that may help them when treating you or in contacting your next of kin.

Anti-theft Bike/luggage ID to deter thieves and identify your bike/possessions should they be stolen.

Public Liability - 10,000,000 limit and includes competitor v competitor, which covers you against a claim by a fellow competitor. Claims by one competitor against another competitor are excluded under most other cycling policies.

Personal accident generous injury benefits, far higher than available under most other cycling policies

Legal assistance to help you to recover compensation for your losses from an accident, which is the responsibility of an identifiable third party.
