Clos and Trident join forces for the Haiti cause
4th February 2010
With the GP2 Asia Series’ resumption and therefore during the first 2010 race, Trident Racing has decided to join Dani Clos in the Haiti support project for it’s population who was hit by the terrible earthquake at the beginning of the new year.
The Spanish driver, who will race on Trident’s one-seater the very next weekend in Abu Dhabi, has indeed assigned his advertising space on his car (usually designed for sponsors who support the driver’s career) to a message in support of the population in difficulty.
“Help Haiti!...Donate!” wants to transfer an easy but really concrete concept. It means to say to the motor sport world to help Haiti in anyway you want or can; the important thing is to feel the desire to give your own contribution to those who need it the most in this period.
Sharing this concept, the Italian team sustains this support message through visibility on the track and media partners for the entire race weekend thanks to the GP2 Organization as well that is willing to help promote the “Help Haiti! … Donate!” new brand.
The Haitian help campaign will not stop with the end of the Abu Dhabi race weekend; in fact, both Dani Clos and Trident Racing will auction a driver helmet and a team's race suit in order to raise money for the NGO operating in the reconstruction of Haiti.
