Coloni ready to tackle second part of the season

22nd July 2010

Everything is ready for the GP2 Main Series Hockenheim round. Being the sixth event of the year, the German race will be the first act of the season’s second half. So that’s an important event, also because it’s held on a very special track: Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport, races in Hockenheim from 1970 and some important pages of its history were written on the German tarmac. Even if the track was modified in 2001, removing the legendary forest high-speed loop, Hockenheim still is a very fascinating track also thanks to its grandstands: the final sector of the track, called Motodrom, is a real stadium with multi-level grandstands and when it’s full of spectators it’s a further boost for the drivers.

In such a fascinating setting the Scuderia Coloni staff will give their best to start the second part of the season in the best possible way, giving concrete form to the good performances shown until now.
The German weekend will start on Fiday, July 23 at 11.15 AM with Free Practice, and then with Qualifying at 3.55 PM.
Race 1 will start on Saturday at 3.40 PM while Sunday will host the second race, at 10.35 AM.

Paolo Coloni: “Hockenheim is the first race of the season’s second half, and our aim is to make it a turning point for our team. In lots of occasions in the first five events we showed really good performances, now we just have to give them concrete form, grabbing points steadily with both Valerio and Arabadzhiev. Our drivers’ progression during the season was good, now it’s time to shake the standings a bit”.
