Davide Valsecchi's Hockenheim qualifying
24th July 2010
Yesterday's qualifying session, held in wet conditions, had two breaks with red flag, and the second stop was after Davide Valsecchi crashed five minutes from the end of session. Davide arrived at the "Motodrome", the final part of the German circuit, and following a misunderstanding with another car, was forced off the track and ended up against the external barriers.
"I'm definitely not happy with today’s session" Davide said "It was possible to achieve a good result, but now I have to start race-1 from the eighteenth position. I was following Herck's car through some corners, and when we entered into the 'Motodrome' he kept the left line. It seemed a signal to be able to pass him on the right side, but when I was side by side I saw that his car moving towards me, and then the only possibility I had to avoid the impact was to come outside the track. A simple misunderstanding has closed every chance I had to do well, and tomorrow I will not have an easy race for sure".
