Fiskens star at inaugural Chelsea Auto Legends

Some of the world’s rarest and most celebrated racing machinery from the last 100 years descended on London last Sunday where historic automobile specialist, Fiskens, starred at the inaugural Chelsea Auto Legends show.

Fiskens led the way at the Royal Hospital Chelsea thanks to an impressive collection which included examples to have contested the Le Mans 24 Hours, this year’s principle theme.

Double Formula 1 world champion Graham Hill’s 1966 Ford GT40, cover star of this month’s Classic & Sports Car magazine, was one such example. Chassis XGT-2 led much of that season’s race courtesy of Hill and Brian Muir in a year when the Blue Oval dominated to finish 1-2-3.

Ferrari, joint second on the all-time Le Mans winners list, was also well represented by Fiskens whose iconic 1958 250 Testa Rossa, one of the 21 examples built by the factory, was joined by a 275 GTB Competition and exceptionally rare aluminium bodied 250 Short Wheelbase, the same car that contested the 1960 Le Mans 24 Hours.
