GP2 Trident Test day 2
5th October 2006
Trident Racing finished with satisfaction the first GP2 series test of the 2006/2007 season. Today the cars have been driven by Charlie Kimball and Ernesto Viso, who set pretty good laptimes. The brakes being once more the element who impressed more the young rookie.Charlie Kimball
“I had a lot of fun. This has been just my second day at the wheel of a GP2 car but I am very, very, very satisfied. The big surprise came yesterday when I pushed the brakes for the first time, I did not expect such an efficiency. But today I started to work in the professional way being able to fulfil a good program with Trident’s engineers. So it has been a great day. Now I need to get back home and put together all the things I learnt to focus my next future for good”.
Ernesto Viso
“I am happy because I think I delivered a good job. This morning I set the third fastest lap knowing that the first one was easily possible. So in the afternoon we decide to do some experiments trying something different. We have not been very fast but we did something interesting anyway. On top of this it has been nice to do such a job together with some old friends. So at the end of the day my balance is widely positive”.
