Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo at Silverstone

ITALIAN TEAM AUTOCARROZZERIA IMPERIALE PAY TRIBUTE TO EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS AS BELGIUM/FRENCH PAIRING TAKE POLE FOR SUNDAY’S FIRST RACE AT SILVERSTONE

 

As the Silverstone grid of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series took to the track for practice and qualifying sessions yesterday, all four cars from team Autocarrozzeria Imperiale SRL stood out with their distinctive livery supporting victims of the earthquake that hit the Emilia-Romagna region last Tuesday. The team, which has its headquarters in Mirandola in the Emilia-Romagna region, will race with the slogan FORZA EMILIA - I NOSTRI CUORI BATTONO PIU’ FORTE DEL TERREMOTO (‘Our hearts beat stronger than the earthquake’) on their cars to support all the people involved in the tragedy.

 

Making its debut in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo  at Silverstone is Lamborghini Racing Team UK. Delighted to make his series debut during the Diamond Jubilee weekend, together with team mate Jake Rattenbury, driver Henry Fletcher commented: “Silverstone is a great British track, I think one of the best in Europe. We have a Union Jack on the front of our car as a tribute to the Queen this weekend.” Fletcher is confident Lamborghini Racing Team UK will be successful in the series. “It was our first time out this morning so we are testing as we go. It’s great fun driving the car and the Super Trofeo is a great series. We just need to find more speed and will be pushing hard at the first race tomorrow."
