Last chance to sign up for Wales Rally GB National
8th August 2012
The entry deadline for Wales Rally GB National is just a couple of weeks away, falling earlier than usual on Friday 24th August.
For the third consecutive year, the FIA World Rally Championship event in Wales is giving up to 100 amateur drivers the chance to compete on the same stages as eight-time champion Sebastin Loeb and his fellow WRC stars.
Wales Rally GB National takes place from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th September and will feature many of the same stages as the pan-Wales WRC route. Day one will begin in Newtown, with stages in Dyfnant, Hafren, Sweet Lamb and Myherin. On Saturday, competitors will take on Crychan, Epynt and Halfway. While on Sunday, the action will culminate with stages in Port Talbot and Rheola, finishing with the Likes Land Rover at Walters Arena stage.
The deadline for entries is Friday, 24th August and both historic and contemporary cars, as well as cars complying with FIA Appendix K regulations, are welcome. Wales Rally GB National has been oversubscribed in previous years and, as a result, the organisers have opened up the event to a maximum of 100 entries, accepted on a first come, first served basis.
The entry fee of 665 + VAT includes 100 miles of competitive stages and those interested can download the national regulations and entry form from the Wales Rally GB website.
