MSA British Cadet Kart Championship

24th July 2012

Round 7 & 8: Glan Y Gors, 14-15 July

Hugo Bentley-Ellis and Josh Smith took their maiden championship victories at Glan Y Gors.

Bentley-Ellis won a controversial first final when Enaam Ahmed, who took the chequered flag, was handed a two-place penalty for contact with Dean Macdonald while fighting for the lead. Ahmed has appealed the decision and the results are therefore provisional.

There was no doubting the winner of Sundays final as Smith moved to the head of a seven-kart train with three laps remaining and held on to take a popular win. Zak Fulk passed Ahmed for second place half a lap from home.
