Motors TV Weekly Highlights 21st to 27th July

LIVE Grand-Am
The Grand-Am series pitches up at America's most iconic racetrack for the ninth event of its 2012 campaign. Making use of the infield section originally built for Formula One, the race will see the resumption of an increasingly tight title battle between Chip Ganassi Racings #01 entry and the #8 Starworks machine.

LIVE NASCAR Nationwide Series 
NASCAR Nationwide travels to the Windy City, legendary home of stuffed-crust pizza, for its 18th race of the season. Veteran Elliott Sadler heads the standings from rookie Austin Dillon and reigning champ Ricky Stenhouse Jr in what is shaping up to be an intriguing scrap for the drivers crown.

 American Le Mans Series
Canadian venue Mosport plays host to the fifth round of this year's American Le Mans Series. The championship is gearing up for its busy period, with five races set to run over the next eight weeks, making a momentum-building result here crucial for would-be title protagonists.

LIVE European F3 Open 
The popular F3 series contests its fifth round of the campaign at French venue Paul Ricard. Canadian Gianmarco Raimondo and Sweden's Mans Grenhagen are pulling away atop the standings and look set to dispute a two-man battle for the title.

 MSA British Karting Championship
The Larkhall circuit near Glasgow plays host to round four of the British Karting Championships Rotax/Honda package where classes ranging from the primary-school-aged Mini-Max competitors to seasoned kart pros will be looking to secure glory.

Driftwars 
"Make love, not war," sang John Lennon on his 1973 single Mind Games, though of course the former Beatle had never been exposed to drift racing. Had he seen the disciplines tyre-burning, sideways action in all its glory we feel Lennon may have made an exception for Driftwars and maybe even penned a song about it.
