QuickSilvers Aston N24 Race Exhaust

The special factory exhaust system supplied with the car is significantly lighter than the standard V8’s factory system but, as it is designed to suit the most stringent scrutineer, it is surprisingly quiet. It is actually quieter than the standard system up to 5000 rpm.

QuickSilver was approached by a championship team running two N24s with a request to make an exhaust system that was lighter and produced a more appropriate and louder race car sound.

The QuickSilver Team redesigned the silencer internals and manufactured the result using thinner-gauge material to successfully meet the required parameters. The manufactured system provides a louder soundtrack throughout with a wonderful howl at higher rpm.

A weight reduction of 5.4kgs over the special unit means handling and braking are improved even further.

Attention to detail has always been a hallmark of QuickSilver products and this is no exception. Using Type 304 austenitic stainless steel, the pipes are mandrel bent to keep a constant internal diameter throughout the length ensuring an even flow of exit gases.

Much more efficient internal gas flow provides a noticeable improvement in throttle response for even more exuberant acceleration.
