Preview Round 5 : Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup/Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Pro Challenge at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the 2012 EMCO Gears Classic
This week, the MAZADASPEED Pro Challenge will travel to the renowned Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the 2012 EMCO Gears Classic for Round 5 of Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup/ Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Pro Challenge.
In the last installment, racers from all over the country gathered at the scenic Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for the 2012 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón at Monterey, California. High school junior, Kenton Koch . swept two races in the Skip Barber Racing School MAZDASPEED Pro Challenge class of the SCCA Pro Racing Mazda MX-5 Playboy Cup. After suffering a mechanical during the first race, Zach Lee came back in race 2 with a second place finish. Lee now leads the field in points. Veteran racer Bryan Hixon also showed his talent and determination garnering two podiums during the weekend and sliding into second for the Championship points
