Spanish F3 2007 line up

27th November 2006

Racing Engineering announces its 2007 Spanish F3 driver line-up following the two test days held on the 16th and 17th of November at the Jerez circuit, in which eight drivers participated. Racing Engineering is happy to announce that it has chosen four promising young drivers for its 2007 Spanish F3 lineup: Franck Mailleux (FRA), Bruno Mendez (ESP), Siso Cunill (ESP) and Nil Montserrat (ESP)

Franck Mailleux is the only non-Spanish driver. Bruno Mendez is the 16 year old vice-champion of the Master Junior Formula. Siso Cunill is also only 16 years old and started his career in single-seater racing this year, in Formula Renault. Finally, Nil Montserrat joins Racing Engineering next season with already a year of experience in the Spanish Formula 3 championship.

As in years past, the choice was difficult because of the promising young drivers who presented themselves, however Racing Engineering is confident that it has made the right choice for next year.

Alfonso de Orleans-Borbon commented "After an initial 114 drivers who signed up for the selection, it was extremely difficult to choose the final four due to the enormous amount of talent we had this year. I am sure that all these youngsters will show us in 2007 what they are capable of. After six successful championships, the future also looks bright next year."
