Tordoff returns to Porsche Carrera Cup GB

2nd February 2012

Sam Tordoff has confirmed plans to return for a second season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with Team Parker Racing.

The Leeds-based driver had a very successful debut season in the Carrera Cup in 2011 with Team Parker Racing and was one of the leading rookies as he finished seventh in the overall championship standings.

Now, the 22-year old racer is planning to use the experience gained last season to become a strong contender this year and is determined to challenge for the title. Tordoff, previously a successful kart racer, is also a BRDC Rising Star in recognition of his standing as one of Britain’s leading young sports car racers.

“It was my dream to return to the Carrera Cup GB for 2012 and I strongly feel that I can do so as a title contender,” said Tordoff. “To return with Team Parker Racing, which showed in 2011 that its professionalism and ability is second to none, is a great pleasure and privilege. I’m really looking forward to working with Stuart and all the Parker team once again.”
