WS Teams at Circuit Paul Ricard

The World Series by Renault 2005 Season continues its schedule and 13 teams will be taking part in the Collective Test at the Circuit Paul Ricard HTTT this weekend (19-20th February).

The World Series by Renault Teams will be arriving at the Circuit Paul Ricard HTTT next Friday. Track activity will continue the following week with another test in the Circuit of Catalunya (23-24 February). It will the last time that the drivers will be using the 2004 chassis (Dallara-Nissan/Formula Renault V6).

15 Teams had entered the World Series by Renault 2005 but not all of them will be visiting the circuit of Le Castellet. Yet there is already a good number of confirmed drivers, some of the Team Managers would still evaluate the skill of the tested drivers in order to make a decision regarding the 2005 Season. The Teams will be using the solution 3C – Medium Track Solutions (3.841 km.)

Teams like Intervetten and Eurointernational have already confirmed both drivers. Stefano Proetto and Daniel La Rosa will make his debut in the Austrian Team, while the Italians Giorgo Mondini and Matteo Megehello will contest the WSR with the Italian-based squad.

Yesterday, Saulnier Racing confirmed Simon Pagenaud, and Carlin Motorsport has confirmed the Austrian Andreas Zuber, former F3 driver in the Euroseries. Carlin hopes to announce its second driver in two days.

KTR’s Team Principal Kurt Mollekens will test Payton Tapp, the first Afro American driver that may enter the World Series by Renault, and Jaap Van Lagen, a fast and expert driver from the Formula Renault V6.

RC Motorsport will be testing with Giovanni Tedeschi, and GD Racing will test the also Italian Raffaele Gianmaria. Both teams are said to be in serious talks with these two Italian. Cram Competition will test the Frenchman Damien Pasini.

Draco Multiracing USA, after the announcement of Marko Winkelhok (GER), has expressed its intention to test Olivier Tielemans (NED) and Jonny Reid (NZL)

Dams will be also present in this test with their RDD driver Pastor Maldonado (VEN) as well as Jenzer Motorsport with its single confirmed driver Colin Fleming (USA).
