30th April 2010 - Ferrari 599xx sub 7 minute Ring lap

Ok - aside from pointless discussions about what constitutes as a production derived car etc - this is a bloody great lap to watch - and the soundtrack is quite divine. The Ferrari 599XX is the first ever production-derived sports car to break the 7-minute barrier on the classic 20.832 km Nordschleife circuit, lapping in 6 min 58.16 sec.

Memo takes the No. 77 Doran Racing Ford Dallara from the back of the pack to the lead. Memo was running about 2 seconds per lap faster than the rest of the field. (Footage is speeded up for the non-overtaking bits - in case you are wondering whethering his car really was capable of 400mph...:) )
